Sully is a 3 year old stunning male Pointer x Tibetan Mastiff looking for a new forever home.
Meet Sully; he is a 3-year-old Pointer x Tibetan Mastiff
He is looking for a new home due to his owner’s health issues, so he is not getting the exercise he needs.
Sully does get on with other dogs, but we would like to see him rehomed as an only dog so that he receives the attention and investment which he deserves. He can be boisterous towards male dogs but is respectful of female dogs.
He has attended training classes and has always been receptive to learning. He must continue training to ensure the best is brought out of him.
He currently lives with a cat, but he chases it, so we recommend that he does not live with a cat.
Sully has also been around and behaves well with children, but we feel he should be placed in a home with no small children as he is bouncy.
We are looking for a home that will commit to this dog, provide training and not be away from home for long periods due to him being at home with someone.
The decision to adopt a dog should never be taken lightly. The whole family must buy into the idea. You need to consider the size of the dog you would like to adopt and what you would like to do with it. For example, you could have an active dog that will play willingly and be happy to go on long walks or a homely, laid-back breed of dog that will happily sit for hours by the fire and only require gentle exercise.
Once you have decided to rehome a dog, you must prepare the home and garden before the arrival. Remember that your new dog will be ‘stressed’, worried, and uncertain about you, your family, and the new surroundings and environment. He/she must have time to adjust. By taking on a rescue dog, you will be taking on his/her past, too, and this could be an unhappy one.
